Elections in Waukesha County

Free, fair, and accessible elections are the foundation of everything the League stands for. Whether you're registering for the first time, checking your polling place, or just want to know what's happening this election cycle, here's what you need.

Wisconsin allows same-day voter registration, but registering ahead of time makes Election Day faster and easier. Check your registration status, register online, or find your polling place at MyVote.wi.gov, the state's official election website.

Know What's on Your Ballot

VOTE411.org, a nonpartisan project of the League of Women Voters, lets you preview your personalized ballot, compare candidate responses to League-submitted questionnaires, and review nonpartisan information on referenda and ballot measures.

Voting Options

Wisconsin voters can cast a ballot in person on Election Day, vote early in person during the in-person absentee period, or request an absentee ballot by mail. Deadlines and requirements are listed at MyVote.wi.gov.

Voter ID

Wisconsin requires photo ID to vote. Acceptable forms of ID, and information on obtaining a free ID for voting purposes, are available at MyVote.wi.gov.
